Automotive Technician
What do Automotive Technicians do?
- Repair and test motor vehicles
- Disassemble, inspect and assemble engines and accessories, cooling systems, transmissions and clutches, drive lines, braking and suspension systems.
- Employ logic and deductive reasoning in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical as well as electrical/electronic vehicle systems.
What do I need to start?
- Entering Grade 11 or Grade 12
- Good employability skills
- A willingness to learn
- Strong interest in entering industry
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- English 12 and Math 10 are required

When and where is the program offered?
- 30 weeks, full-time at BCIT (Burnaby Campus)
- Intakes in February, April and July
